About those angels…

My beautiful mom, who is strong, flexible, kind, loving and joyful. Perfect in every way. The guiding angel of our family.

“And the angel cried, ‘Holy’, and the angel cried, ‘Holy”, you are lifted high, ‘Holy’, ‘Holy forever”.

It was a song.
It was a song that Filly had listened to a lot.
This time it was being sung by a large group of singers on the app X. Filly had saved the song. It had inspired her. Then she heard it again, beautifully sung at church.

The angel’s were calling Jesus Holy. That was the word for the thoughts that they sung to describe Jesus. Who were these angels? Perhaps babies who had never had any thoughts other than pure good and innocent thoughts? Perhaps they had been aborted? They were not lifted high…they were angels…helping the people on earth, in spite of their treatment here…

“these are the thoughts I think of you, thoughts of good and not evil, to give you an expected end”. Filly thought of other words in the bible, that said what a person was thinking, “determined” their expected end, or direction.

Filly thought of having an imaginary giant cardboard box. She imagined all the thoughts floating in the air as words, waiting to get inside the box labeled “good and not evil”. The first word, according to the angels, was “holy”. She mentally put that word in the cardboard box.

A baby, pure and innocent was “holy”. New life was “holy”.
“Choose life” was also in the bible. So that word “Life” got put in the box next.

Filly thought about how some people as they aged, stopped listening to the angels sing, and stopped remembering what was “holy” and she wondered if that was why some people became “inflexible” as they aged. Their thinking had taken them there. Nope, “inflexible” was not going in that cardboard box.

There were people doing a lot of bad things. But that was, she imagined, because they had put a lot of the wrong words in their cardboard box. All they had to do, to be healed, was to take those words back out and throw them away. “Poly-amorous”, “addicted”, “diseased”. No one had to accept these words or keep them in their cardboard box. They were not going to give the person a happy end.

They had to look for the right words to think about themselves. To give them a happy end. Words like forgiveness, charity, blessed, respectful.

She thought of the conversation that she had on the plane with the guy who said he thought people should be “comfortable” with death.

The bible did not say to “choose death”. It said the opposite. Choose life.
One was not supposed to ever get comfortable with death. That was the complete most wrong word ever.

And the angels did not sing “choose death” and the angels did NOT sing “choose death”.

It was a very simple concept for Filly to realize that her thoughts dictated her outcome.
In a moment of great frustration, did she believe herself to be angry, or patient. Which word would she keep in the cardboard box…so that she could be happy as her expected end. PATIENT

In a moment of great sadness, did she believe herself to be depressed or optimistic? Which word was she going to keep. OPTIMISTIC

When she exercised, and felt exhausted, which word was she going to keep, tired, or energized? Which word belonged in the cardboard box? ENERGIZED

Filly imagined the box being so full of good words that they pressed against the side of the box and left imprints so that people walking buy could see the words. Or maybe the box was clear so that the words were visible to everyone.

Maybe the ideas or thoughts that a person thinks are very “visible” to God, which is why he knew when someone had done good or evil. And Jesus made sure to let people know that he knew that the thoughts HE thought towards others were good and NOT evil.

Evil thoughts were what aged a person or took them towards death, and not life. People’s evil thoughts were their own consequences, carrying them either forward towards a fountain of youth, flexibility, strength, and Holiness, or taking them away, in the opposite direction, towards victimization, rigidity, anger, destruction and death.

A person’s thoughts WERE in fact, their fountain, their youth, springing forth bringing freshness and vigor, when they stayed aligned with the thoughts that God is thinking towards us. Thoughts of good and not evil.

Filly picked her randomly chosen bible verse for the day and it was Matthew chapter 18 verse 4

“ Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”

Indeed!
