Assisted suicide?

My dad and his grandmother Miss Mary who lived independently well into her nineties

My daughter recently called to tell me about her unusual new year’s eve “conversation”. She said that about twenty minutes before midnight, all the people in the room, were having a discussion about the wonderful “perk” of “assisted suicide” and each was planning when they would be ready for their own demise or the demise of someone, whose life they felt was an “imposition” on them.

She said that in her opinion, not only was that NOT a topic of joy and happiness appropriate for welcoming in the new year, but it was also wrong on a fundamental level. My daughter without hesitation, stood up and said out loud, that her family would NEVER resort to that “procedure” even if it were legal, because the bible says to “choose life” and her family listens to God. She was the only person in the group of people from California to have voiced opposition to Euthanasia. I am proud of her common sense and that she is my daughter.

And, she is not actually alone in her beliefs. MOST states and their representatives recognize that being Christian and honoring God, are values fundamental to the structure and stability of the United States of America. It is only in a few big cities and states like California, where people have assumed the role of God and are disregarding biblical truths and commands.

Now these people she was talking to are all highly educated and intelligent in many respects, working at respected places like Google and Twitter and Apple. They make well over six figures and have all the luxuries that money can buy. But some of these same people are also saying that their four year old son is a girl, and saying that it is disrespectful for an infant to have to wear a diaper so they carried the baby with her bare bum around causing her to unfortunately have bowel accidents in public restaurants.

I think when people stop believing in God and start thinking that everything in the world is up to human judgement and experience, they lose their way. I feel sorry for them. I am so grateful that I have seen evidence of God’s existence and power on a regular basis and I am not wasting my time trying to convince confused people that they can’t NOAH everything.

I read that Gavin whats his name hopes to run for president as a de-facto candidate, but um yeah. I do not think that even in California, he has anything to offer or to brag about. Everyone is leaving California. And if he stays he better start building an ark.

My randomly chosen bible verse for the day is mark 14:9

“I tell you the truth, wherever the Good news is preached throughout the world, this woman’s deed will be remembered and discussed”.

Thank you God for this new day and I know you hear me always.
