Written to Song “Sound of “silence””
Goodbye darkness…never friend.
With no one looking darkness ends.
Only good is what my thoughts are keeping.
There is no room for bad to go, creeping.
And the angel, who is guarding or’e my brain.
Still remains.
Within the sound of Justice.
In happy sunshine I can see.
While climbing mountains, climbing trees.
I trust God’s healing when needs be a cure.
Neath the light of what is TRUE and PURE.
And my eyes reject any flashes of that neon light.
It has no right.
to touch the sound of Justice.
And in the sunlight were “the saved”.
And bonnie flags were brightly waved.
People worked to do what needed doing.
people tended things that needed growing.
People righting wrongs, and no excuse was shared.
No one dared.
Disturb the sound of Justice.
Watchful eyes began to know.
How to plant and how to sow.
Manna falls that God will kindly teach you.
Rivers part that God might always reach you.
And the “bread” supplied like words that really spell, really fell.
and echoed, the sound of Justice.
And the people who still prayed.
Were supported and not afraid.
For the faithful there is no alarm.
When what is evil has just “bought the farm”.
And the bible says commandments are still written on what is stone.
We’re not alone.
