Now is the time for one GOOD person

I have not been to a baseball game this year because I am boycotting MLB due to their political behavior, behavior that does not reflect the attitudes of most of their patrons, individuals, but rather the view of the “collective”. But as I write, I am remembering a game that they used to play on the big screen, between innings, of a ball hidden under a can…and then they shuffle the cans and the audience has to figure out which can the ball is under.
I think it is interesting that in that “game”, the viewers are not looking at all the places where the ball does NOT exist, they are only looking at the place where the ball IS.
It is kind of the same way where someone who is scientific, does not look at all the ways that one plus one does NOT equal two, they only want to pay attention to right answers. On right answers, they build mathematics.
We do get to choose however, what we pay attention to. And the things we are looking at, are our platform. Even though it may seem REALLY silly to pay attention to wrong numbers in math, or empty cans in that game between baseball innings, we do it all the time in individual life. Negativity, or the wrong behavior of others is in fact magnified in the media and the news, and I am not sure why that is.
I have held on to the principle that the only real power we have is the good that we do. (which is why we would not want to pay attention to negativity or bad things because they are like the wrong answers in math)
As an analogy, lets say we were building a house of beautiful stone bricks. Lets say that we want that building to be timeless, to last indefinitely.
Each time we do something good we get to add a stone brick to that house we are building. That is because we have to provide and then see SOMETHING good in order to build. What is good is real and can then become what is constructive. Latin constructus, past participle of construere, from com- + struere to build.
In my analogy, lets say that every time we do something bad, or destroy, we have no brick to build. from Vulgar Latin *destrugere, alteration of Latin destruere, from de- + struere to build.
That is because the opposite of BUILDING a home, is to NOT build a home. The opposite of building a home however is not to DESTROY a home. That is because bad, (the opposite of good) cannot destroy one iota of good. (sort of like how in pregnancy, the opposite of having a baby is to NOT have a baby…the opposite of having a baby is not to destroy a baby)
To me this is a good analogy. Because it helps us to understand the “allness” of God.
Christians believe God is Good. So in this place called home, we are modeling after heaven, God has put only good, because bricks are only made with something that is good. If heaven is real, creation must last for eternity because bad can never destroy it… good has an “expected destination” of heaven.
How does our concept of these “bricks” change with the passing of time?
I just saw a “program” on star trek enterprise, where a lady appeared on the ship and claimed to be someone that Chakotay had loved. But he did not “remember” her and it was because her “species” caused any “memory” of themselves to disappear as time passed.(this program reminds me of a computer, and how a computer needs to have memory to “survive”) She was able to “appear” back on the ship, and her purpose was to “remind” Chakotay of the good that had existed in the love she expressed in times past. God did not create a man whose existence is determined by the memories of another, that is what computers “create”.
We know God is Love. If God is Love and God is good, then pure Love expressed, is a brick in the house. There is no power the opposite of Love, that can take away any brick in that house…. even over the passing of time. (think of the three little pigs and the house made of stone or bricks) In other words, in the fictional program I was watching, where it was possible to have “good” erased along with the memory of that good, such a “species” is illogical, false, the absence of good literally. Logic, and understanding good, however decimates evil. Because Good is the only “construct”. Evil cannot take away any bricks; cannot take away any quality of those bricks, including the quality of being timeless, because good is a spiritual quality, not a material quality.
So back to star trek, pure love expressed, cannot be removed by any situation where love is not remembered because love UNDERSTOOD is seen and then builds. Remember, the opposite of building a house is not to destroy a house, it is to just NOT build. This is important because it may seem tempting or easier to just let others “build good houses” We can then “see” that good and make it our platform. But God gives us many ways to embody good, and Jesus tells us about the story in the bible of how the master gave different talents to each man and they were supposed to use those talents…NOT bury them or let others do all the good work. We EACH as individuals are responsible for the construction of good in our own immediate circle of humanity and should not abdicate responsibility to others…to abdicate is to NOT BUILD. We have to each build good right here, right now, and to not build is a choice, but no one I know wants to live in the “absence” of good.
A good example of this is the new “diversity” protocol being marketed to business…and it will fail because choosing to limit where good can be found or exists is the same as having a platform or view based on negativity and will never provide a construct or a building that will endure.
My dad wrote a story called “what is real”, and he talked about running as an adult and remembering running those same roads as a little skinny freckled faced boy, holding a cup to go borrow some sugar from the neighbors. He wrote that his mom told him that he ran everywhere. He wondered if his mom, who was no longer there, was “real” because she seemed to exist only in his memory, just like he wondered if the boy, that he once was, was real either. My dad, and his mom, both did many good things. Those good things are stone bricks in my house, because I REMEMBER them but even if I did not remember them, those good ideas still exist and are building blocks of Gods creation. Throughout all time, the “space” it takes up to remember the construct of my dad, and his mom, is limitless because it does not take up any physical space. The good they did was real in the past, and just as real today because good is the construct. Good endures.
We often hear that a computer, which is a machine, needs more “memory”, but in the creation of the universe, the memory of good, as described in the bible, provides us with timeless bricks, that allow our “kingdom” to embrace limitless qualities. God did not make man physical, like a machine, God made man spiritual…and good, and good is what is real and is the only construct. Good existing and forming a spiritual creation is not the same as empty space. Empty space is not equivalent to good. Empty space is a physical quality, Good, as a spiritual quality cannot be seen but it does exist. Do you understand the difference?
And, like the analogy in the very beginning, of the ball and cans, analogy, no one wants to “remember” spaces under cups that are empty, and we do not need to remember blocks that were never constructs. We cannot build on empty space, even if there is massive amounts of empty space. The construction of the kingdom of heaven depends upon our awareness of good, because those are what the bricks are made of. In fact, in the FIRST story of Genesis, everything that God made, was VERY GOOD. That is because good is what is real, and evil is only the absence of good. That which is absent, cannot overpower or even be equivalent to anything that is Good, and good is what is real.
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things”.
So back to the game of the ball hidden under the cans…if you are watching that game, and you can remember ALL THE CANS which have an empty space underneath them, even if you are CORRECT, you only understand lack, negativity or nothingness and you have built nothing good…those are not the things we must think on. Because that which is real, is something that is good, can be built and endures. Empty space cannot be used to build, even if you correctly identify ALL the empty spaces that you see each time. But GOOD can build.
Back to Merriam Websters definition of construct…
to make or form by combining or arranging parts or elements : build
Interestingly, Construct is also described secondly as…
1 : something constructed by the mind: such as
a : a theoretical entity … the deductive study of abstract constructs … — Daniel J. Boorstin
b : a working hypothesis or concept The unconscious was a construct that came from the daily effort to understand patients.
2 : a product of ideology, history, or social circumstances Privacy is more than a social construct or an idea; it is a condition of the body.
Just like genesis one and genesis two, the definition of construct has its primary meaning which is real, and then a secondary meaning which we can choose if we like but it is human theory…
If that which is built, is not a human theoretical entity, but is good, like genesis one, then it indeed becomes timeless, and such a construct is not dependent on the memory one of us has, of the good of another…we would know that what is good is what is real…and good is spiritual. Then the spiritual nature of mankind, would not include an awareness of nakedness, which is a physical quality and which would be designated by a different “choice”. God Good, is the timeless construct. Privacy, which was required in genesis two, I believe proves that Genesis one is the truth of the spiritual construct of creation and of who God is. But living in the physical realm, while trying to embrace the spiritual nature of man made in the image of God, we can see privacy as a physical state of being where humanity chooses to “see” good instead of seeing the body, which is symbolically honoring God and respecting the inherent good in every human being…beings we understand as spiritually “built”.
In short, we do this by always SEEING good. If our building is getting built with the stones that I mentioned in the beginning, that building is good even if it exists in only one place. If I cannot see it or remember it because it is far away, I can build my own building, with good in my immediate vicinity. Paying attention to all the things that are destroying buildings will not build my own building.
Based on all this reasoning, I conclude that it is not enough to just boycott that which pretends to be a collective voice of many individuals, but is not voicing good…MLB or Coke, or the president we currently have (who wants to delete individual voices or liberties with censorship or executive orders or the justice department), or the pope,( supporting an abortion platform by supporting a pro abortion president). These entities have not absorbed the memories and acquired the voices of the masses and do not speak for them…remember only GOOD has power.
And I will add, that a computer, by “adding memory” is doing nothing to enhance or build good because it is a machine. It also cannot speak for each individual person.
What I must do, is pay attention to each individual voice of those I see now, who are doing good, who are teaching their own children, who are building their small businesses, who are not afraid and who are not allowing evil to rule their actions or their words and who are expressing individually, freedom and honesty. The least of these, who is doing good, is more powerful than the biggest corporation, that is attempting destruction of others. Truly one with God, is a majority.
