Runs with the wind
Filly left a message on the phone for her son who was running in a 50K race that morning. She said how she would be thinking of him while she did her own run/walk of only three miles and at the very end of her message, she said to “run like the wind”. That was her Email name for her son in the past, when he was in High school. “RunsWithTheWind”
Running with the wind meant to run light on the feet, unencumbered and with ease. It was a reminder to let the race be more of a spiritual journey, one where the obstacles that seemed to be encountered did not have to “feel real”. Like the movie Divergent, where the girl realized that she defeated the enemy because she recognized what was real, and what was a simulation, she became a great leader.
Filly thought that looking for what was real, was the same as looking for what was good. It was kind of like Pollyanna, where she trusted her necklace her father had given her, who was a preacher, and the necklace said “when you look for the good expecting to find it, you surely shall”. PollyAnna in that movie, seemed to be at a disadvantage because she had lost her dad. She seemed to be at a disadvantage because the aunt who was responsible for her, when she was orphaned, was cold and distant. But these circumstances did not deter the child who made great strides in her understanding of the real world of people around her, and the dynamics of what actually made the world function in a Christ like way.
Filly thought about what was real right now in her own life. What was real, she believed, was that a significant majority of the citizens of the United States were Christians, not just in name but if beliefs. They were in fact one nation UNDER GOD, and they were committed to and wanted to live according to the laws of God, protecting and honoring life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. They were, without doubt a majority of Trump supporters, and to run with the wind, was to run with God. Citizens could understand that God was like the wind, impossible to see with the eyes, whiles the evidence of his existence, was incontrovertible.
Filly’s sister, speaking of wind and air, had a friend who put a Trump sign in her yard and the sign was stolen. She had used her iPhone to put an air tag on the sign and was able to track it over the city in North Carolina. The police were notified and the sign was found in the vehicle of a prominent attorney, who was driving it, and who had taken not only that sign, but many other Trump signs as well from other yards, all tracked by the GPS.
The neighbor filed charges and the case is now going to court. Those who think that they can steal signs from peoples yards and not get detected, are mistaken. They will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. And those who think that they can steal an election, and not get detected, are also mistaken. They will not succeed, and those who try, will be caught and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
The wind is everywhere and can see what seems humanly impossible to see. Filly was grateful that air, something that is essential for life and breath, is also a representation for God. Air tags, might protect life, and the rights of people, but God protects the people themselves against fraud, lies and misrepresentation. For this Filly was grateful. Not just for her son, but for all people who would choose to Run with the wind.
