Say my name

Remember me

This morning, little Miss Eevie came inside after being outside on the fenced in patio and asked me if I would “forgive her” and she had a very sad face.

I asked her what she thought I needed to forgive her for, and she said that she wrote her name on my chair outside. I asked her why she wrote her name on my chair and she said that in case she “passed on” she did not want me to forget who she was and if I saw her name I would remember her.

I immediately told her that I could NEVER EVER forget her for even a second and that she was NOT going to “pass on” and I said that I wanted to see the good job she did writing her name because I wanted to be sure I could read every letter.

I told her I was not mad at her and once she realized that I was still happy and joyful, she gladly showed me her handiwork.

As I write about this now, later in the day, I am thinking about how I believe that people do not have to “pass on” unless they give their permission. I believe that God gives us that choice, and we do not have to give our permission unless we want to.

I also believe, based on these comments by little Eevie, that children and people in general are ENTIRELY too focused on sickness, disease, vaccines, masks and death, and not NEARLY focused enough on laughter, joy, play, fitness, health, kindness and harmony. Jesus did say to “choose life”.

It is not good for us, or our children to hold this out of balance perspective and I believe this imbalance can even cause more sickness, and disease.

It says in the bible, “Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things”.

I am wondering what exactly we as a society, are waiting for to do this? Our children, our families and our friends NEED this mindset, for their health and well being and it is about time we THINK ON THESE THINGS. The bible is not wrong and it is time we listened to it.
