Sisters

When I want some sugar, my sister said to me, when we were discussing weight-watchers, “I just ‘pop a vitamin’”. She was not kidding and I knew exactly what she was talking about.
The gummy vitamins, and for me, the zicam medicated fruit melts, are so delicious!. They almost melt in your mouth but they have just enough texture to give them interest, and they have a coating of sugar crystals, which are amazing.
We both know we have to cut out sugar, and one way we are doing it is to keep those “vitamins” handy. We both laughed, at the “logic” of this, and it was fun to realize that I was not the only one struggling in the holidays with staying on the program.
The “journey” for weight loss and healthy choices, according to her recommendations, was to keep some zero point foods in the fridge for emergencies such as grapes for sweet, and celery and carrots for crunch. She also said to drink water first, when hungry, and finally she suggested that I boil some eggs and eat one for protein as it works well to stave off hunger. A protein drink works well too.
I am glad that I have my sister to talk to and laugh when things are not going perfectly because she helps me keep things in perspective and she makes me laugh.
Time to get my “vitamin” haha.
