Good fruit

Luke 9 42 And as he was yet a coming, the devil threw him down, and tare him. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his father.

This was my randomly chosen bible verse for today and what struck me was the word “tare”. I thought about the parable of the tares and the wheat in Matthew. In both bible verses, the word “tare” represented something that was destructive that seemed to exist within something good. For the farmer, his field was good, but along with the wheat, which produced good, were the tares which did not produce good. For the father, his child was good, but the evil suggestion or spirit within the child, was also not producing good.

The farmer would not destroy his field in order to get rid of the tares and neither would the father destroy his child to get rid of that which tare him.

What did Jesus do in the story? He rebuked that unclean spirit, which healed the child.
Humanity is God’s “field” of wheat so to speak. The tares or evil suggestions that come to everyone, can indeed be rebuked. Jesus wanted us to know that the farmer might have known about the tares, but he paid attention to the WHEAT. He paid attention to that which produces good and a good outcome.

The farmer would have failed if he spent all his efforts working to destroy the tares instead of just rebuking them, and giving his attention to the wheat. He did this because he knew the tares had no inherent power and should not be given any attention. We can learn from this. How many times are we worried about something or fearful of something, and our own words are “feeding” or fertilizing or giving attention to those “tares”.

“I know my team will lose, they will not be able to buy a hit tomorrow”.
“If I go in to work after that altercation, I am sure I will be fired”.
“I know if I go talk to doctor, I will be told I have some dread disease.”
“My kid will never straighten up and start doing what is right.”
“My situation is so bad, I know I will never get ahead”.

If you make these statements, you are now feeding or fertilizing the tares in your life. You have just stopped working in the wheat, and are standing aghast at the tares. THAT IS NOT WHAT THE FARMER DID. He did not call out the tares and call them his…he called out the wheat and put it in his barn and burned the tares.

I have been watching “The Chosen”, because it is about seeing who it is that Jesus called by name and chose to be his disciples. My brothers in laws said that the first episode was gnarly, but that the series was good. I watched the first episode and instead of thinking it was gnarly, I loved it. Jesus was able to penetrate the demon thought that prevailed in the woman who called herself Lilith, and call out her name, and say she was his, and she was able to see herself again as Mary of Magdalene.

The story portrayed, was that from the time she was a tiny little girl, her father had told her when she was scared, to say to herself “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine!” Her father did NOT teach her to call by name all the things out loud that could go wrong when afraid, because such negativity would give a platform to “THE TARES”.

Instead her father taught her to say something that rebuked the unclean spirits or suggestions that came to her thought. As an adult, when she was besieged by evil spirits, (negative thoughts) but heard these same words spoken by Jesus to her, the mesmerism was broken.

The message here is that there is power for us in the words that we choose to speak. We may have every reason to think critical, negative depressed or anxious thoughts, but we must instead pay attention to the wheat. Negative “THOUGHTS” in our head give rise to behaviors that are negative, critical, depressed or anxious. We must, like Mary did, rebuke those thoughts immediately and instead speak positivity to the truth of the good we know exists and will prevail.
Like the farmer with the tares, where there were too many tares to try to weed them all out of the field, Jesus knew that their were a myriad of evil thoughts suggesting themselves to humanity. But it is his “field”, and he reminds us that the harvest is great, and only the good fruit survives. We can trust in the harvest, and in spite of the multitude of tares, we can still legitimately believe in the resulting good fruit, in spite of the growth and proliferation of the tares. The farmer only sees the wheat and does not plan to keep or even entertain mentally, the tares, and neither should we. In fact, the message here says that the farmer who believes, is busy not just harvesting the wheat but is chopping a lot of wood.

This mental approach is good for many things and many circumstances.

Recently a friend asked me if I knew anything about Liberty Texas. She said that her son might be leaving Colorado and moving here. I looked on a map and Liberty is right here. It made me smile to say it out loud and claim it for it is mine. LIBERTY IS HERE. And I am not just speaking of this town I am speaking of a concept.

Then I looked for Liberty in every state I could think of. Liberty is in most other states I can name as well. Liberty is here in Virginia, Liberty is here in Michigan, Liberty is here in California, Liberty is here in Pennsylvania, Liberty is here in Montana, Liberty is here in Florida, Liberty is here in North Carolina, Liberty is here in South Carolina, Liberty is here in Maine, Liberty is here in Oklahoma, Liberty is here in Colorado, Liberty is here in Kansas, Liberty is here in Arizona, Liberty is here in New York, Liberty is here in Washington, Liberty is here in Idaho, Liberty is here in North Dakota, Liberty is here in South Dakota, Liberty is here in West Virginia, Liberty is here in Tennessee, Liberty is here in Oregon, Liberty is here in Louisiana, Liberty is here in Alabama, Liberty is here in Indiana, Liberty is here in Kentucky, Liberty is here in Minnesota, Liberty is here in Iowa, Liberty is here in Nebraska, Liberty is here in Illinois, Liberty is here in Mississippi, Liberty is here in Georgia, Liberty is here in Ohio, Liberty is here in Wisconsin, Liberty is here in Missouri, and Liberty is here in Utah too.

If you are in a state or a country that does not have a township or town called Liberty, perhaps you have a dog or cat or child named Liberty, and you can say without being accused of lying, also that “Liberty is here” lol.

Liberty might seem a humble concept or a humble town, but that which has humbled itself shall be exalted and that which has exalted itself will be humbled.

We can, like Jesus, call by name, that which is ours. Liberty is ours and I am calling its name, through Jesus. We do not have any place here called Slavery. We do not have any place here called Oppression. We do not have any place here called failure. What we do have is Liberty and Liberty is here now and we can call it by name and it is ours. Success is ours, goodness is ours. We can trust in the harvest.

If the tares of doubt, fear, misinformation, dishonesty, theft, Government overreach or corruption, seem great, we can know that we are NOT calling out those names and they do not belong to us. Just like the tares in the wheat field, we can instead pay attention to Liberty, which DOES belong to us all, and know that the farmer, and his plow, know which is the good fruit and how to bring it to harvest.
It might seem to be time for some to declare a “state of emergency” if they have been lurking in the tares and trying to profit off the tares, but for most of us, Good God almighty, we are rejoicing for the harvest of wheat is great, and the harvest is good and the tares are rebuked and cannot touch us. For those declaring a state of emergency, I have done a song remake just for you to sing about “the harvest” lol.

No Tare

Tell me how I’m supposed to breathe with no tare
Can’t live, can’t breathe with no tare
That’s how I feel whenever you ain’t there
There’s no tare, no tare
Got me out here in the water so deep
Tell me how you’re gon’ be without me
If you ain’t here, I just can’t breathe
There’s no tare, no tare

Thank you, in Jesus name, for NO TARE.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government will be upon His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end
