The Story-teller-dolls story
There once was a princess who someone thought shouldn’t be queen.
She ran to the forest so scared, she thought she would scream.
There, the men who were seven, who were little…not important at all.
Then said something so big that their stature was built like a wall.
“Come and stay with us princess, and you will not see any harm,.
You have found our small cottage and have seen our hardworking farm”.
“We toil all day, hard labor when starting at dawn”.
“We’re so tired when we’re done, we can’t even go mow the lawn”.
“but our work is not selfish, with our own hands we gather some power”.
“in a coal mine where darkness surrounds us all day; every hour”.
“so we can have comfort and heat for these our blood brothers”.
“and provide a safe haven for the daughters and sisters and mothers”.
From the little they had, they gave her the best that they had.
And the princess was safe and protected from all of the bad.
She offered to help and she scrubbed and she cleaned and she baked.
Made all of the beds then she planted and watered and raked.
Till one day the person who forced her from home at the start.
Tried to kill the princess and destroy her kind, loving heart.
But Love still endures, even when death seemed so real,.
And the men trusted God, which made way for the princess to heal.
She woke to knew life, with husband and family and riches.
And never again was afraid of those things they call witches.
And the land it was saved and the men could come out of the woods.
And build where they wanted, in freedom instead of in hoods.
The men who were seven, who were honest and earned all they had,.
UN-taxed and UN-fettered, and UN-accused of anything bad,.
To keep them low profile they were named the “daze of the weak”.
But we all know their names and are grateful how loudly they speak.
It’s not “rich against poor” or “kindness because of the bad”,.
It’s that willingness to help, to build up, to support, to be glad.
It’s not “what’s your name”, rather what you can do with each hour,.
To celebrate goodness, and blessings united with power.
And babes and their mommies will continue to all tell the story,.
Of God as their father, surrounding with wisdom and glory
